My tongue learns your spine everything inside you mutes except your yearning

I memorize you down to your cephalic vein rolling up your sleeve
your eyelids flutter nestling into the comfort found upon my lap
your black car pulls in and my knees obey gravity as I inch forward
the blood moon mimics the scarlet flush of your cheeks as I lean closer
Her hair in the wind the aromatic tether to this breath I take
my hand locates yours and your defenses lower like the setting sun
I shut my phone off because when I am with you nothing else matters
There is a room in my head, Where only my feelings live; In that room is an empty space, That makes me feel lonely, And disgraced.
