love poems
Love poems for hopeless romantics; I'm the poet and you're my muse.
Twelve Flowers for You. Top Story - September 2026.
I picked twelve flowers for you today. The first flower I found was a vibrant blue Delphinium . Life feels so natural when I talk with you. Your words flow with ease and turn my moody blues into sparkling stars flowing in the dark blue sky of love.

Him?
[Verse 1] The angel's warm hands found mine And pulled me through the crowded room Past every face I’d memorized Past every maybe, every much too soon [Verse 2) They pointed to where you stood Like you were a secret I should understand I laughed because it simply couldn't be You weren't the man my dreams had planned [Pre-Chorus] So I checked the door, I checked the sky I asked them twice if they were talking about "my" life (Chorus) Him? I asked... You chose him for me? This quiet man in faded blue jeans ? Him? I asked... Are you saying he's my destiny? I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t believe Him??? Did my angels really know something my heart couldn’t see? [Verse 3] He never made a loud or grand display He just stood confident that he was mine He left the porch light on when my soul stormed And patiently waited for me without asking why [Verse 4] He learned the names of all my fears And guarded and protected me from them And while I was searching for signs He quietly built a life where our love could live [Pre-Chorus] He drew a line around my heart And sat close beside me in the dark [Chorus] Him? I asked... You chose him for me? This quiet man in faded blue jeans ? Him? I asked... Are you saying he's my destiny?? I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t believe Him???? Did my angels really know something I couldn’t see? [Bridge] I wanted thunder I wanted proof I wanted burning arrows Flying through the roof Instead, he said, “Babe, I'm so glad you made it home” And suddenly I knew I'd never be alone [Final Chorus] Him? I asked... You chose him for me? This quiet man in faded blue jeans ? Him? I asked... Are you saying he's my destiny? The one I’m now learning to believe The answer hiding in my disbelief And when he reaches for my hand I understand what angels planned. Him. Him. Him.

Still Be Friends
[Verse 1] You left your coat on the back of the chair And folded the tea towel beside the coffee tin I watched the morning's light take the shape of you Then disappear like smoke in the wind You said the right words with your eyes turned down Like kindness could soften the closing of the door But I had already counted every quiet mile Before you said you didntwant me any more [Pre-Chorus] I won’t ask you to make it plain The heavy silence already knows my name [Chorus] You don’t have to try to explain I already understand Everything you didn’t say Was written in the way you let go of my hand You don’t have to try to explain There’s nothing left to defend I heard the ending in the pause Before you said we could still be friends [Verse 2] The landlord fixed the kitchen light today Now It shines too hard across the floor I found one of your shirt buttons by the sink And i just left it where it was before You left a note scribbled on an old receipt I tossed it away when I cleaned Some things are easier to keep unread Than to ask what they might mean [Pre-Chorus] I won’t ask you to take it back The truth is heavy, but it keeps me intact [Chorus) You don’t have to try to explain I already understand Everything you didn’t say Was written in the way you let go of my hand You don’t have to try to explain There’s nothing left to defend I heard the ending in the pause Before you said we could still be friends [Bridge] Maybe we were just meant to be a season Cuz maybe that’s all a season can be I can carry the shape of your leaving Without carrying your weight of your absence with me [Final Chorus] You don’t have to try to explain I already understand Everything you didn’t say Was written in the way you let go of my hand You don’t have to try to explain There’s nothing left to defend I heard the ending in the pause Before you said we could still be friends [Outro] The porch light no waits for you I turned it off and am carrying on

I Hope
I hope life will treat you kindly. I hope, with everything that remains inside me, that the world will be gentle with you. I hope it will not ask you to carry more than your heart can bear. I hope that when you wake up in the morning, there will be something waiting for you that makes getting out of bed feel worthwhile. I hope there will be sunlight on the days when everything feels dark. I hope there will be warmth when the world feels cold. I hope there will be someone beside you when silence becomes too heavy to carry alone.
