Long Weekend
It’s not uncommon to get some snow in October where I’m from, images pass our window as the rose colour sets in. It’s impossible passing by to see inside, impossible not to stare, you can’t help but admire its briefness. I avoid turkey too and everything else that separates dark from light. Sunflower hang their heads, the birds hang around just a little longer, the last day of the long weekend not much to say.

SHE COULDN’T BE BOUGHT
SHE COULDN’T BE BOUGHT She was a little can-can girl, Who danced from morn till night, They said that she was something else, Her future burning bright. She kicked her heels beneath the lamps, Her tassels flying free, And every man who watched her dance Saw what he wished to see.

MANIFESTING MY HUSBAND
MANIFESTING MY HUSBAND Dear darling husband-to-be, Before I manifest you, I’m writing down the little things I’ll rather expect you to do. You won’t know me and I won’t know you, So we’ll get a few things right, I’m putting all my wishes down On this piece of paper tonight.
