**Broken Trust**
When trust is broken, shattered glass,
A fragile bond, forever passed.
Words of sorrow, empty sound,
A hollow echo, lost and drowned.
Apologies ring, insincere and weak,
A feeble attempt, a hollow squeak.
The damage done, cannot be undone,
The trust is lost, forever gone.
For trust is like a delicate flower,
Crushed by betrayal, in its hour.
It takes time to mend, if at all,
And when it's broken, it may fall.
So let us guard our trust with care,
And cherish those who truly care.
For once it's lost, it's hard to find,
And leaves a void, deep within the mind.
