Synchronicity

Forever As One

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 12 months ago Updated 11 months ago 1 min read

I could no more hold the back the hands of time

than the ocean or I resist the force of your pull

Bound together, forever, with invisible twine

Spending eternity dwelling with my heart and mouth full

Love overflowing, like the sand on your shore

Flowing like the rivers to a sea of our making

Vowing forever to hereinbefore

Deeply entangled, with our heart and souls aching

Would you shy away from a love so consuming?

Hide neath the clouds, stirring storms of confusion?

Or would you explode, as the sweet flowers blooming

Adding rainbows of color to complete love's illusion?

Rest here, in my arms, let me shine, as your moonlight

Let our souls leap, exposing a love so serene

Let me be the breath, guiding the course of our kite

Soaring above, as your faithful, bridled string
