Sweetest Romances Are A Fantasy For Me

I watch the films with quiet eyes,

Where lovers dance through golden skies,

Their laughter floats like drifting rain,

While silence lingers in my lane.

The sweetest words were never mine,

No roses wrapped in velvet twine,

No trembling hands beneath moonlight,

No arms that held my storms at night.

I built small worlds inside my head,

Where tender promises were said,

A place where hearts remained sincere,

And no one vanished through the years.

I pictured walks through evening air,

Soft fingertips caught in my hair,

Long talks beneath a silver moon,

A melody that ended too soon.

Reality arrived too fast,

Like winter swallowing the past,

The warmth I dreamed would finally stay,

Always dissolved and slipped away.

Still somewhere deep my heart believes,

Beyond the sorrow it conceives,

A gentle soul may someday see,

The hidden light inside of me.

Until that day I guard the ache,

The fragile hopes I cannot shake,

Romance remains a distant sea,

A shining fantasy for me.

Though lonely nights still pull me near,

I hold what tenderness appears,

For dreams survive through every scar,

Even when they stay afar.
