Sweet Surprises and One-Eyed Wonders

In a grand old house, lived a small boy with hair so black,

With ears so big and just one eye, his curiosity wouldn't lack.

He roamed the halls, till he found a door that caught his eye,

With a brass handle and a keyhole, it seemed to beckon and sigh.

He looked through the keyhole, and to his surprise,

A room filled with sweets, before his one eye did arise.

Candies and cakes, chocolates and more,

Lined up in perfect rows, as if in a candy store.

But something seemed odd, as he looked closer still,

For the sweets all had eyes, and they seemed to have a will.

The boy was hesitant, but his sweet tooth was strong,

He opened the door, and the sweets danced along.

He discovered the secret candy room, where sweets come to play,

When no one's around and they're free to be gay.

The boy was the first human, to lay eyes on this sight,

The sweets took him in, and made his day bright.

They laughed and they played and they ate to their fill,

But soon it was time for the boy to leave, and with a heavy heart, he will.

The sweets bid him farewell, and gave him a bag of treats,

The boy hugged each and every one, as he left with no regrets.

He knew he'd remember this day, with a smile and a rhyme,

Of the secret candy room, where sweets came to life and time.
