Sweet Revenge

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Fallen as you think I may have,

my wings are still there.

Your high and mighty stature is only within your mind,

still believing that you are a benevolent being.

You lurk in the shadows checking on my status

wondering if I will resurface,

but patience dear imp,

I am waiting for my moment to strike.

You have made it too easy to find the skeletons in your closet,

your fall is coming.

And I know now

you think you have won by forcing my fall,

but like an angel I will rise again

and this time I will make sure your wings are cut off

the mask taken

and the world see you for the evil you are.

How sweet the forbidden fruit will be

that is my revenge.
