Dimples on a sweetheart, soft like marzipan
In dim lit rooms, reaching out and holding hands
Softly speaking lovely words, to win or to woo
The sweetest of all replies, the simple ‘I love you’
Raindrops washing away the dust from an old day
Afterwards inhaling the scent of gently disturbed clay
Colorful sunsets, colorless nights
To gaze upon the squirrels having silly little fights
In all the world these precious moments abound
Or distractions I suppose, if you prefer the sound
Nearly all of life can be distracting I’ve found

Incredible piece💖😉📝❗
The first line hooked me too. 💖💖💖
The first line is so sweetly captivating, it draws you in and along 😁😁
Oh that last line...perfectly sums it up. This was wonderfully dreamy through the rhyme and wording but it had such an underlying substance to it. Really well done :)
Such a tender poem. I enjoyed it. Well done. Thanks for writing this.
