Today was a good day
You were nice to me
We didn't argue or fight
We were able to give back and forth
And have a few random words
I enjoyed seeing you doing things you like to do...like yard work
I enjoyed cooking for us
And for us eating together
It made the spaghetti taste better
I took a long, long nap
And the sleep was the best I've had in days
Because before that
You had been mad at the world and at me
Maybe it was the warmer weather and the sunshine
That caused the peace between us,
But I think it was my prayers

Wrapped Up Again
Humans must transform themselves to progress. At times in the lifespan, we are in the cocoon, so comfortable and so hidden from the world around us. But then we get the urge to escape and we scratch and claw to get out of that womb. We want our wings and our beauty and our freedom, not giving thought to the safety we left, but we go flitting about, happily interacting with the new environment we have placed ourselves in.

This story is a continuation of the Tales of Ezok that began in "The Precipice." Reading this story and its companion "Whispers and Whisps" is not required to enjoy this story, but they will each add layers to the character we see here and I would be remiss to not mention them at the very least.

I loved this. The tension of the relationship and the peace of long needed sleep, by the sounds of it. I sensed the relief but also the strength of faith and how it supports you.
