Sunshine After Rain

A Simple Poem to Brighten Your Day

By Catherine NgendoPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Sun on your face, wind in your hair,

The world's a playground, everywhere.

Don't worry 'bout darkness, it won't stay,

Sunshine's coming, brightens your day.

Flowers may wilt, like a frown on your face,

But wait and see, a smile takes its place.

Tears may fall, like a cleansing rain,

Washing worries, easing the pain.

Just take a walk, sing a little song,

Things can be right, even if they're wrong.

Be kind to others, plant a tiny seed,

Watch it grow, a beautiful deed.

Even bad weather has a silver shine,

Broken wings can learn to fly, one step at a time.

So take a breath, let go of your fears,

Find your happy place, dry up your tears.

The world's a picture, big and bold,

Use bright colors, a story untold.

Paint a smile, dance with all your might,

Everything's possible, take flight!

Life's a present, a precious rhyme,

Sing it loud, make it yours, all the time.

Laughter's the cure, chases away blues,

You're strong and brave, you know what to choose.

Rise above, find your way,

Sunshine's waiting, greet a brand new day.
