Sun Shower Love

A Poem

By Raven MoorePublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

This girl, they just don't make them like her anymore.

See here mama raised a dreamer always negotiating with reality,

While her father raised a warrior always fighting for what she believes in.

She breathes fire back into my existence.

I watch in amazement as the flames dance off the tip of her tongue

And her lips god her lips

Are her most lethal weapon

But somehow still her most generous gift

How they never fail to leave me breathless.

You see is sunshine and I am rain

and while paradoxical sun showers may always fill our days

The steam will rise from the pavement in affirmation of the love we bear

Even the gods hang their colors across skylines in an attempt to reflect this love we share
