Summer's Glow

The girl who lives in my right eye,
remembers when I felt we could fly,
across blue waters where seagulls cry,
mountain meadows with hawks soaring high.
The softness of your hand reaching mine,
lightened my senses I felt divine,
smell of cut grass rough touch of grapevine,
hearts in our eyes as our lives entwine.
The waves brushed up and tickled our toes,
while clean ocean mists infused our nose,
the musky scent of a blood red rose,
made up for any offending pose.
Moonrise signaled it was time to go,
with your absence the world has lost its glow.
