Twin Flame Poetry

My mind creeps into submission when it comes to you.

You make all the rules and my heart follows you like a love sick fool.

I search and I search for a safe place to hide.

I’m not safe in your care and you’re stealing my inside.

I’m lost in a fairy tale thinking your words have always been true.

How could it be? Why would it be?

Yes, it was always fucking you.

I hate how you take over my brain and smash it against the wall.

The pain that tears through me makes me feel nothing at all.

I don’t want to beg you. I don’t want to worry.

I don’t want to sit here as you lie to my face.

Like I don’t know you. You’ve never been sorry.

I try to let go and you talk of the future.

But can you really deal with me?

Can you be who I need you to be?

Because you’re failing now and I’ve been screaming it loud.

My hands have been wiped clean.

It’s my turn to love me.
