Stop Before It Is Too Late
There is no going back ever

Stop Before It Is Too Late
She held the door,
hands trembling hard,
feeling time slip
through every breath.
The warnings rose,
loud in her chest,
telling her run,
telling her hide.
His voice grew sharp,
cutting the room,
turning her hope
into something thin.
She backed away,
slow as fear,
watching his eyes
change shape again.
The floor felt cold,
like the world froze,
holding the truth
of all she knew.
She whispered please,
not out of trust,
only to keep
his rage at bay.
He stepped too close,
and she saw the end,
a line she feared
for far too long.
She opened the door,
and claimed her life,
leaving behind
what nearly killed her.
