STEP ONE TO HEALING

Admit you are wounded

put your pride aside

it does you no good

You can't find a cure to a sickness

you refuse to give recognition to

Admit your barriers have failed

That your defense system wasn't strong enough

Admit your shields have let you down

Admit you have overestimated yourself

Or underestimated your nemesis

What I'm trying to say is

Admit you have lost

You can't find the solution to a problem you do not acknowledge

Understand

That denying your illness

Would hurt more than accepting it

A doctor can't help you

If you hide your symptoms

Understand that letting her go

Doesn't necessarily mean forgetting her

Understand that moving on from him

Doesn't necessarily mean erasing history

Cause ...quite frankly

That would be impossible

And if you keep aiming for something you can't reach

You will eventually end up falling

So Step one to healing

Is to admit you miss her

Admit you loved him

Admit your smile dimmed the day she walked out your door

Admit the nights got longer when he stopped sleeping next to you

Step one to healing

Admit you are wounded

Admit you are broken

heartbreak
