Starry night

A quiet moment between me and the sky

At dusk, I gently farewell the day,

awaiting stars in skies of gray.

One by one, they start to gleam,

as if they’re waking from a dream.

They seem surprised that someone’s near—

someone who greets them with a cheer,

someone who waits with open heart

to share both joy and tears that start.

I love to watch those stars so bright,

and even the moon that hides from sight.

My heart then dances, soft and free,

for dreams come sweeter—thanks to them and me.
