Stained silhouettes

Vague Illusion

Noir Art

just out of reach, my fingertips aching

my senses afire, with the need to be found

a hunter that’s lost, imagination’s unmade

silence explodes with the secrets we’ve found

dream and desire mixed with the need to be blended

a moth to the flame in a house made of cards

mirrored reflections, broken needing to be mended

shattered to pieces left in delicate shards

looking for truth, I unmask the shadows

bringing to light the most unlovely of things

standing untouched in the veil of the gallows

hanging from the beams with invisible strings

hunter and hunted, beautifully mingled

two become one in the absence of light

Match to a flame a united light kindled

silhouettes kept under stained glass windows of night
