nothing can bank

on

an inward grave

dug

into the splintered

stairs

cats nor i

descend

until the other

soul

returns with the

sky

or after roses

die

Paul Aaron Domenick

I write to break the psyche in half. What good are words unless they turn us upside down and shake us?
