Spring is here and a palette of colors have arrived, signifying a new beginning

A field splattered with red poppies, their colors bringing to life a once dormant lifeless field

the orange sun beaming down, reviving life, coaxing every plant to bloom

the yellow daffodils protruding from the ground, awakening from their winter's sleep, impatient to bloom in full

the dull grass resurrected and now a luscious green, the blades soft and cool against my skin

the clear blue sky brightening the world, a world that was once nothing but greys and whites

More flowers sprout and bloom

A wonder array of indigo and purple hues, lilacs, lavenders, and violets

As if someone took a paintbrush and flicked it splattering colors everywhere

As if they painted the dull blank canvas of winter,

transforming it into the wondrous color filled canvas of spring
