Spinning

A stream of consciousness poem

Oopsie daisy, I got caught in the rhythm of life

And forgot to experience the meandering melody

Of hating something for the very first time,

Tasting its sour edges with the body of my tongue

Because I am hungry to grow the passions

Burgeoning and bulging in my belly, yearning for out.

.

I had a flat stomach for years before I remembered

There is an entire world out there for me to devour,

Whole souls willing to leak into my throat and feed

Whatever monster sits at the summit of my moral

Fight against what is good and what is necessary.

Kneel down for me and let me take, let me eat.

.

Give me the satisfaction of scraping the bottom

Of your blood and enjoying the taste of you.

Let me take these sacred pieces and dip them

In the bitter darkness only a hunter could scent.

I've tracked you from the start of this dream

Across eons and cosmic dead air and starlight.

.

I have hunted you by spilling my blood

And forcing it to turn into an obedient river.

See how it winds through the quantum,

Snakes through the seduction of the pulsars

And finds the tremble in your hands,

Pretty is the dance of a soul being observed.
