Special Delivery!

The door bell rings..

By Pamela Walsh-HoltePublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

You approach,

I'm dumbfounded, all intelligence has abandoned me,

to which you smile, you smiled! OMG that smile!

That smile!

I fall apart...

A million tiny pieces scattering across the floor,

never have I felt this way before!

Paralyzed, frozen, I am unable to react!

Your words,

bounce about, within me,

like electric ping pong balls,

While mine,

are firmly stuck in my throat.

My delivery man,

you stand before me,

with an inadequate meal in hand,

unaware,

I hunger naught for what's in the bag,

don't you understand!

I'm scattered all over the floor,

never, have I felt this way before...

About the Creator

Pamela Walsh-Holte
