How did you get here?

Who sent you to me?

How is it you see me for the me no one else sees?

We talk with our eyes.

We love from our soul.

The best days for me are the ones we’ve yet told.

You lean into me.

I lean into you.

You pray for me,

& I pray for you too.

One hot July day,

it took but just one lone look;

Your eyes bore into me,

a coy ploy of Sync, Line, and Hook.

When you ask,

“Do you know what drew me to you?”

I fear to say,

“ I don’t; I do not have a clue.”

Near the open sea— vast, deep and dark blue,

You cry, “Your turn at love has long been past due!”

One day we lay– eyes set to the moon

You ask for my hand, I say,

“Duh! You know I do!”

So, why God to me, do You give such a good man?

He’ll keep you safe, and so will you—

The best yolk of a pair.
