Soul Tie

The Act of Cord Cutting

Two candles sitting side by side;

During the night, burning so bright.

Do you know the secrets they hold;

Burning for love once so strong and bold.

As they flicker, jump, and spark;

The magic starts with the intentions of a heart.

The cord wrapped thrice bound by the rules of three;

Anointed with oil so I can be set free.

Watch as the cord burns between;

Visions of our past are revealed to me.

Never again shall you lie;

As the flames begin to die.

Henceforth I take my energy back;

As the embers of our love begin to smolder.

Never again shall I speak your name;

Or into my dreams should you wander.
