Soul Mates

Pieces of Each Other

When God made you and I

He only had one extra heart

So instead of choosing between us

He took the heart apart

He gave one half to you

And the other half to me

Knowing without eachother

True love would never be

We took a few too many

Wrong turns along the way

By mistake we met someone

With whom we tried to stay

But alas our hearts were shattered

Torn up and broken down

Until we met a stranger

And all the others began to drown

As we grew together

We left it up to chance

Our attraction was so perfect

We didn't need a second glance

Our heart is now complete

With nothing to rearrange

From day one we were meant to be

That, my love, cannot change
