we think that if we sit still

if we don't think about this anxiety blue

if we don't move an inch

it makes things that much better

as if a simple breath will break the dam

even a blink can create chaos

that perhaps we can convince ourselves

it's all a dream

or that it's in our head

and that we can wake up and things are back to normal

but it's real and the pain sets in

burning clawing scratching begging to be felt

so we hide it because if those emotions are felt freely

we just might explode
