Somewhere Between Ordinary and You
A spoken love poem about how quietly someone can become everything

I didn’t fall for you all at once.
It wasn’t a dramatic moment,
no music playing in the background,
no sudden realization under a perfect sky.
It was quieter than that.
It was in the way I started noticing things—
how your laugh stayed with me
long after the conversation ended,
how your name felt familiar
even before I said it out loud.
Somewhere between “just talking”
and “I hope you’re okay,”
you became important.
Not loudly.
Not all at once.
But deeply.
You became the reason
I check my phone a little too often,
the reason ordinary days
don’t feel so ordinary anymore.
And it’s strange, isn’t it?
How one person
can walk into your life so casually
and suddenly
everything starts to feel a little more alive.
I don’t know what this is becoming—
I don’t need to name it yet.
All I know is:
when I think about the future,
even in the smallest, simplest ways…
you’re there.
