sometimes i dont want to go home

a love poem

when rays of light hit her face just so

she seems to glow like the sun itself

and the rare cackle of her laugh

is as powerful

as the forceful wisps of breeze

that send her curls flying

where she stands by the sea

i look at her like she’s god

and she just might be

i smile and think that i believe

in true love, in the fates at ease

to see you here as one with me

and i know how perfect it would be

to stay like this forever
