I saw something beautiful as I woke up in the sun’s brilliance.
The grass beneath my skin with such viridity,
The clouds of exuberance fluttering above my head.
And you.
Is there something beautiful in everything?
From the poetry I write where you
stand grounded between each letter that
Dances from the graphite tip,
To the music that is my favorite because
The world’s affairs shape the
Depth of every note
That sings?
Maybe my dreams are amused by my never-ending conundrum.
Perhaps this “something beautiful” was already destroyed
While I desperately wished it was true.
