There's something about Gary

we knew right from the start

that this friend in our life

will always have our heart

We know we'll never let go

of the memories he gave

because we all loved Gary

With Gary, time was no big deal

he always gave us his all

he was such a great friend

he was always on call

He was mine and he was yours

no one owned his heart

he loved you and he loved me

right from the start

We laughed and we cried

talked for hours on end

shared good and bad times

and we'd do it again

My children fell in love

with this wonderful man

they never forgot his touch

and yours loved him as much

The Gary I knew

was the Gary you knew too

let's embrace our hearts

and just say thank you

For deep within us

he touched our souls

he changed us and he moved us

his memory will be enough

When he left, we had no time

to tell him "we love you"

but he knew in his heart

that our love was true

No one could be so right

he just fit in our heart

we knew it from the start

We are left now to find

our own way through this

the loss that we feel

and the Gary we will miss

When we ask ourselves why

in this painful heated rush

and when the burden is too much

the memories we will touch

Reach deep inside yourself

to find a memory or two

the ones he gave you

We have all lost a "Gary" in our lives. We will always miss them.

I hope that this can bring some comfort to you in your path you must walk without some dear one you loved.

Suicide is misunderstood. Some are quick to judge a person that takes their life.

But we must try to understand why someone takes their own life. It is not up to us to judge them or their actions. Some people say that people are weak and they take the easy way out. That is far from the real truth with suicide victims. By the time they got to that stage, they had already taken more than we could imagine. Pain to each person is different. Pain cannot be weighed or measured. What hurts one might not even bother another. I hate to see it when people make remarks about people who take their lives. They are not being selfish. They have tried everything they can, in order to remain in this hard, hard world. Perhaps they could see things that others could not and cannot. Perhaps their affections went unnoticed. Perhaps their concerns were not shared. You look at society today, and it is a hard thing to swallow at times. Those times can add up for any one of us.
