Something Happened…

An organization recognized my worth today. Saw how I could add value to their bottom line.

I laughed out loud at the gym today. It was over something that could be considered an inside joke.

Work was busy, overwhelming and stressful. It made me crave a tight hug and an ear to listen.

After a long day I was searching for some to watch and saw a shared tv show. I passed it by.

A family member received good news. A friend received bad news all in one day.

I heard a song that describes exactly how I feel. I wished someone would listen and understand.

As each of these somethings happened today, my thoughts were of you.

I wanted to tell you the good.

I wanted you to laugh because it was our joke.

I wanted to share the bad things, the overwhelming and the sad.

It was you I thought of for comfort, to listen, to understand.

It was our show I wanted to watch, cuddled up with you.

Something’s happened today, but I guess things happen every day.

The point though is with all the something’s I thought about you.
