Someday

Someday, someone will find your heart
Without a map or written guide.
They’ll see the places life has bruised,
Yet choose to stay right by your side.

They won’t arrive to rescue you,
For you have learned to stand alone.
Instead they’ll walk beside your path
Until your heart feels more like home.

They’ll know that healing isn’t straight,
That some days still are hard to bear.
They’ll never rush the pace you need,
Only remind you they are there.

They’ll laugh with you at little things,
Cold cups of tea and skies of grey.
Finding tiny pieces of joy
Hidden inside an ordinary day.

They’ll learn your silence has a voice,
Your smile can sometimes hide the rain.
And rather than demanding words,
They’ll simply help you carry pain.

Love isn’t measured by grand displays
Or castles built upon the sand.
Sometimes it’s simply making tea
And reaching for your waiting hand.

It’s remembering how you take your coffee,
Saving the last biscuit just for you.
Listening when the world feels loud,
Doing the little things people forget to do.

They’ll never ask you to be perfect,
Or wish you were somebody new.
Because the right heart doesn’t seek perfection…
It simply treasures you.

Until that day, keep loving life,
Keep chasing every hopeful start.
For the love that’s truly meant for you
Will recognise your beautiful heart.

So never settle for almost loved,
Or kindness given now and then.
The right embrace won’t mend your pieces…
It will remind you they were never broken to begin.
