Softly Whispering You Love Me
Love is all when you are young and everything when old

Softly Whispering You Love Me
Softly whispering you love me,
In the silence of the night,
Your gentle words drift through my soul,
Like stars appearing into sight.
The room is still, the world asleep,
Yet every heartbeat seems to hear,
The tender promise in your voice,
Drawing me a little near.
No grand display is needed here,
No crowded stage or shining light,
Only the comfort of your words,
Wrapped around the quiet night.
Softly whispering you love me,
Like a secret meant to stay,
Protected from the noise outside,
That tries to steal such things away.
Each syllable becomes a thread,
Binding hearts through passing years,
Strong enough to weather storms,
Gentle enough to calm our fears.
The moonlight lingers by the glass,
A silent witness to the scene,
While your voice fills every space,
Between what was and what has been.
Softly whispering you love me,
A phrase so simple yet so true,
Holding more than endless speeches,
Ever could attempt to do.
Softly whispering you love me,
Like a song the heart holds dear,
Long after silence fills the room,
Your precious words still linger here
