love (noun) : an intense feeling of deep affection

I truly did not love myself but I managed to find someone that loved every piece of me, even the parts of myself that I truly found unlovable.

The pieces of myself that I swore nobody could ever love.

Then I met you and my whole universe changed.

I did not see my own beauty, until you looked in the mirror with me and showed me how beautiful I am.

I was not able to see my own worth, but somehow you manage to, even on my worst days, speak life into me.

I really didn’t have much faith for my future, but you stood beside me and together we prayed for a future together.

I did not know how to love after being broken, but you patiently showed me the meaning of what love is.

I didn't know how to trust forever, until you showed me the meaning of true love.

And when you're tired of me and my shenanigans, you just grab some coffee and say “I've got you babe.”

Just in being with you, I realized that I wasn't broken, I wasn't something that needed to be fixed.

You just held me until all my pieces came back together again.

And I cannot thank you enough for holding me.

You held me until every stupid little thing that I hated about myself disappeared.

You held me so tight that I wondered if I ever really was broken or just simply within the wrong hands before you met me.

Thank you for loving me, and showing me that I wasn't broken, or something that needed to be fixed. That I am entirely allowed to be organically me.

Thank you for showing me what true love really looks like.
