Smile, And The World Smiles With You
What Do You Want Your First Impression To Be
The first thing I'd show you
is, we're not as bad as we look
We've had centuries to prove
we deserve to be in the books
While the best of us is just learning to walk
we need to teach them to love, to imagine and talk
And that love can move mountains
galaxies and decisions
Please don't give up on or doubt us
we're working hard on our vision
And, after years, we can finally see
following years of confusion
it's not all about "me"
We've come to the conclusion
equality is the new definition of free
*
When a human smile is sincere
it's easy to make friends
Opened wide, ear to ear
where the cheek starts to bend
We call those, a dimple
they are both special and rare
Other smiles are nice too
but it's pretty hard to compare
The way they invite you in
to smile right along with them
And to a novice, chagrin
it's best not to tease them, about em'
Yeah, a smile is the first thing
I'd want an alien to see
Making wishes on moon rings
they won't want to eat me

Smile and usually everyone smiles back.
Yes, smiles are certainly contagious and the best advertisement for the best of us. Nice! 💙Anneliese
Oooo, this was so brilliant! I loved it!
A smile, with tender, patient, gentle approach--always good. Dimples are a plus.
I think that's a healthy response! After all, a sincere smile is infectious! Great take on the challenge!
