Small wonder

Celebrating the ingenuity of one ant

The strength of a small ant

Small in stature yet so large in ingenuity

An enigma are you and often too tiny to see

Excessive weight on your back you are able to carry

Exhibiting strength and fortitude to not tarry

You move along with an unyielding power

Baring your burden hour by hour

Over that which should crush, you are master

Step by step you go, neither slower nor faster

Little friend you are an amazing being

Often I can’t believe what I’m seeing

Tiny ant you cause me to consider it all

How mighty you are, although you’re so small

How insignificant to me is one Cheerio

Yet your carry it’s weight and it makes you a hero
