From a teapot

Steam swirling upwards

Pouring out deep, black tea

Strong, hint of bitter

Taste of warm honey

Infused–

The Warmth of orange herbal black tea

Warmth of the cup in my hands.

Warmth of the scent inhaled.

Warmth going down

At the start of the day

awakening

With a bit of caffeine,

Even in summer and the

Mornings are still cool.

Perhaps another later

In the afternoon

More black tea if still early

Perhaps herbal instead

To help sleep

Calming a restless mind.

Usually alongside a book

Lost in a writer’s world

alongside my writing book

My world building

alongside

Another cross-stitching project

Probably to focus

Drinking lukewarm tea

Something idle to help relax

Still progressing on something.

Just idly focusing

From the long days.
