The coal's flame dwindled in the fire pit

Fair and cold lay the red headed maiden

Alone in the winter wood

Chill wind whispered through her frizzy braids

Carrying the sent of mortal through the trees

Roused was a fuzzy snout by the scented breeze

Thankfully one of playful curiousity

Carelessly the whisper wandered through the trees

Teasing the last of the blazing leaves

Just as it had chased away the last of the coal's flame

No longer warm

Of this the fuzzy gray was aware and alarmed

When he found the teary eyed maiden shivering and pale skin bare

Fortunately this forest takes care of the weary

Therefore lay duteously the chivalrous fur

Comforting the maiden who shivered no more
