Slivers Of Truth

At Least The Sun Gave A Nice Reflection

Our shadows danced in parallel

We never could see eye to eye

You found you another damoiselle

And I found a new place to hide

Your promises, like mosaic glass

Couldn’t hold anything in its place

You shuddered as I pulled the edge of your mask

Revealing the truth on your face

Still you lied

With the truth there, exposed

And I tried

To measure the shit and your nose

As they piled up

Like the snow on the streets

Mixed with mud

Like how you made me feel

With your Mosaic promises….
