In a serene bathroom, where calmness resides, I stepped on a soap, where danger hides. Its slippery surface, a treacherous glide, I found myself slipping, with no place to hide.
Arms flailing, I fought to regain control, As the world around me took a humorous toll. Laughter erupted, a chorus untold, In that soapy ballet, my balance was bold.
Oh, slippery soap, you played your trick, Testing my footing, making me quick. But I embraced the stumble, the moment's flick, Finding resilience in each slippery slick.
Life's twists and turns, they come and they go, But how we respond, it's what helps us grow. In this mishap, a lesson to know, To find humor and grace in each wobbly show.
So, slip on, soap, and challenge my stride, I'll rise with a smile, no need to hide. For in those brief seconds, I learned to confide, In laughter and resilience, forever tied.

1977 - I remember the year like it was today. Newly nineteen and newlyweds. Your hair was like goldenrod. Your dress framed your body perfectly. Your lips sang to me all the way down the aisle. We were young and smart, not dumb, I think. You are still my sweet everything after all these years. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how well we still suit each other. You make familiar look gorgeous! Thank you for trusting me and caring for me the way you always do. I sometimes get lost with dreams but you always do the best to make those dreams reality.

Color as a Storytelling Device
Think of the color green for a moment. Free associate the meaning of the color. In societal terms, green means go. Stop lights are a universal totem, red for stop, yellow for slow down, green for go. The cultural-societal association of these colors to specific meanings allows you as a writer to use these colors as a storytelling device. You can use peoples associations with color as a way of demonstrating something about your character visually. Green also has a cultural association, in America anyway, with money. Money is green and thus if you code your character with green and create a visual association with money, you've revealed character traits.
