silent soul

a poem

the world refused to hear me today

there was a great misunderstanding on the line

everything buzzed, the helicopter spun a billion times

preventing me from expressing myself in any way

the line broke; my voice was misheard

inconsistent with the state of affairs

in a hostile environment

where my needs were never met

and all my strengths

dropped after just one phone call

and what it sounded before

like favourite worst nightmare

now it’s merely a surviving scrape

slovenly make-upped face

and washing off tattoos rejecting to befit my body

only to show me

that there is no way

but to cut the line on all of them

and enjoy the blissful change

of my soul’s renewed shape
