In the depths of solitude, I dwell

Slowly consuming my own hell

Striving hard, tucked away on the shelf

Each day mirrors the last, in itself

Songs birthed, destined to be unheard

Guided by critiques, wrong or right

No romance to grace my dimming light

Amidst the dying, I persist in trying

To garner pride ere they fade from sight

Yet cries for aid, silently plead

In this vast emptiness, I bleed

Longing for kin, for solace's touch

Yearning for rescue, from this crushing clutch

Excesses squandered, earnings burnt

Liquor's veil, to mask the hurt

In fleeting moments, at parties I roam

Kissing strangers, pretending they're home

A stranger to self, haunted by past's decree

Struggling to embrace who I used to be

A futile dance, to fit the mold

Desperate attempts, constantly foiled

Loneliness, my constant kin

Echoes of family, lost within

Yearning for connection, any guise

In this desolation, where hope dies

Yearning to belong, yet always adrift

In the silent cacophony, my soul sifts

A plea beneath the surface, to be seen

In this lonesome landscape, I've never been keen
