How did we find
A home,
In a hand-
Held in care,
Love fair-
Fit for two-
Only ours
Red and deep-
Open to more
Than we saw
A wide land
To see and take-
Wild beat
That we set-
A lust new,
Red and hot-
In a glow-
A song sung
A new tune
We sang off beat
Till we hit the cord
That gave us a hand-
Move on and on
Step by step
We sync-
Not I,
Not you,
A we
Form true,
The sun lit
A path
We took
With no fear,
As long as
A kiss told
The tale
Of us
And we told
All of the hope
For the next,
The day that we
Turn red to gold
Hand fast-
Fade red to
Hue of blue
Echo
Mind and body-
Age and fear
Still-
We hold the love
Near and dear
To tote to the next,
When we join the sky
It will not be lone
But with our best
Side by side.

How do we ever find that love which will stand the test of time? I've wondered all my life & still don't know the answer.
