Let’s gather together in thought and food
Shrove Tuesday Pancakes And Love
In the hush of morning, the day begins,
With flour and eggs, where our journey spins.
Pancakes on griddles, a sacred rite,
As we prepare for the Lenten night.
A time for reflection, to cleanse our hearts,
To offer our burdens, make humble starts.
With syrup and sweetness, we gather and pray,
In gratitude for blessings, come what may.
We savor the moments, the laughter, the light,
Before we embark on the path of the night.
To fast and to ponder, our spirits refined,
In the warmth of togetherness, love intertwined.
So as we indulge in this simple feast,
Let’s remember the purpose, the love that won’t cease.
With hearts open wide, we prepare for the mend,
On this Shrove Tuesday, our souls we transcend.
