SHOULD I BE LONGING FOR A SUMMER’S DAY?

No. Summer sucks. Winter Rules. Here's a poem.

Should I be longing for a summer’s day?

I’d rather weathers be more temperate.

But here they come, the blooms of May,

The sweat and heat and pests intemperate.

I lie beneath the sun’s relentless shine

Because my motivation’s surely dimmed;

And soon comes the mental health decline

With short-lived nights, and days untrimmed.

Well, soon the summer light will fade

And give me back the dark I own.

For now, I’ll hide beneath the shade,

With petals fell and blooms ungrown.

So long as summer ends, I can still be,

For once the winter comes, I’ll still be me.
