“Sacrifices after prices paid - suffice;

Continuously pacify attempts to tempt - I fight;

To disciplines, I listen in - they communicate what might be in my interest

- so instead of itching whims, it is in the interim I write;

I do believe investments made will grant returns and rights;

I concieve that they’ll appreciate while I deffer what may entice.”

- Old Dying Joe

“I planned to plumb the crux to snuff what was tough upon my soul;

But work like this is never done because reality’s in flux:

This factor’s ever told;

So abruptly, I had chosen to adjust my outlook and to manufacture better goals;

It appears that your perspective on adversity affects the manner of your growth;

I began accepting what caused challenge

- the effect: I came into my own.”
