Shining Star
The God Within: poems by; Keith McHugh
The Sun sets in,
Let Twilight begin.
As Moonbeams sing,
Across the cosmos,
Tiny lights start to glow,
Shining stars,
Poking holes,
In the shadows.
Darkness grows,
More and more
Starting their show.
Shining a light
Bringing harmony and joy,
In heavens delight.
- -------------
Deep inside,
we all hide,
From our shadow side.
Lighting candles,
So we can see,
Through the dark,
So endlessly.
Making our mark,
Creating the spark,
For you and me.
- -----------------
Embrace the fight,
So we can be,
A guiding light,
Creating more stars,
To lite up our night.
Bringing kindness and love,
Shining to all you meet.
Watching as the darkness retreats.
