The girl who met heartbreak, swore she'd never love again.

Because her love could only be defined in the faces of men

Who swore they'd do better than the last man did.

Only to come back months later and call her best friend.

And ask her to accompany him as he found the ring.

The ring for the girl that would Never. Be. Her.

Babygirl...

I know it felt like a dagger through your heart.

When good girls finish last and

Bad girls have listing impressions of happily ever afters,

And houses full of newborn laughter.

And the man who swore that no one could ever compare to you has said "I do" to a woman who could care less about the architectural design of his heart.

But you do.

And it kills you to know that

The head that once laid in your lap

Confessing stories of heartbreaks past

Has created a present with you the would only last

Until a future opportunity to manufacture forever with the woman who broke him.

So you skillfully play your role.

A broken hearted surgeon piecing together the fragments of his heart.

Realizing that this put together again humpty dumpty

May never find you as anything more than a plan b to his heart breaks

A comforter to his heart aches,

A time filler for his relationship breaks,

And his guest to a party titled heartbreak.
