When you dream of having this wonderful love story while we're children, it's nothing like we think it would have been.

She looks nothing like my dreams. She is so much more mesmerizing and beautiful than I could have ever imagined. How could something so pure that I never knew existed be something I am now so scared to lose? She is the abrupt stop in your footsteps when you're walking through the cold night to gaze up at the stars. She is the stillness in the air when you're drifting to sleep. She is the sweet scent of dew upon the grass blades during spring. She is the breath of cold air that burns your lungs during a blizzard. She is the rush of shock and adrenaline when jumping into a cold lake. She is the serenity that bestows upon you when running through a field at dusk. She is the tears that fall on your pillowcase at 3 am with a sigh of relief when your mind is racing. She is the warmth when you're brought into the arms of embrace. She is the light that reflects against your eyes in a city at midnight. She is the agonizing burn that sits in your throat when you're screaming out to songs that tug at your heartstrings. She is nurture. She is grace. She is compassion. She is transcendent. She is beauty and hellfire all in one.

She is:

Love.
