She Had No Eyes
She had no eyes, yet felt the world,
Each whisper, every flag unfurled.
In silence, she walked the earth alone,
A heart made of stone, but soft as bone.
Her tears were gold, or so they seemed,
A glistening truth, a lost dream.
They fell like rain, but held no weight,
Fools’ gold wrapped in a sorrowed state.
She cried for things that could not be,
For love and hope that she’d never see.
Yet in her weeping, there was grace,
A silent battle none could trace.
Fool’s gold, they called it, but to her,
Each drop a memory, each tear a blur.
She held them close, though they were lies,
For in the end, they were her disguise.
